BIO:

Mar Picao is a five-piece group from San Diego, California, led by Panamanian composer, Julio Valdes. Known for their mix of Afro-Cuban grooves with the ambient of progressive rock, the band creates a sound that defies convention. Drawing inspiration from the ocean’s power —an idea captured in the band’s name— the quintet offers a sound that is as intricate as it is primal and as cerebral as it is danceable.

From Baltimore, Dina Maeva is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with deep roots in Madagascar. Her music blends soul, folk, and acoustic styles with traditional Malagasy rhythms, creating a unique and emotionally rich sound within the "World Music" genre.
