The Ron Shumate Band is a high-energy country and classic rock band from the San Diego County area. RSB was formed early in 2015 by current members Ron Shumate, Justin Myers, Mike Kavanaugh and Robert Cruz.
All of the guys were playing music with other groups when they decided to put together a band that would be fun for them to play in and fun for a crowd to listen and dance to. With influences from California, Nashville, Texas, and Louisiana it wasn’t long before they had a pretty hot sounding set list! Putting together a show of some of their favorite country and rock songs, they quickly decided to start “testing the waters” by playing some local bars in the Ramona area. It wasn’t long before their calendar started filling up with paying gigs!
This group of well-seasoned entertainers quickly has become the local favorite of many small venues in the San Diego County area and is geared to play some larger venues and festivals in 2016. With a great mixture of modern and classic country combined with classic rock favorites, this band is sure to keep people on their feet all night long!
Be sure and keep your eyes and ears on these guys. With an ever-growing set list that includes songs from George Strait to Jason Aldean and Lynyrd Skynyrd to The Black Crowes, they will be entertaining crowds for a long time to come!
