John Peter Nollet is a singer song writer, multi instrumentalist currently residing in Southern California. JP started his lifelong journey with music at an early age. Taking piano lessons from ages 7-10, then learning trumpet starting in grade school in the 5th grade . The guitar came some time later when JP was a freshman at SUNY Delhi. JP started to perform some and on a truly magical night JP sat in at an open mic at the Tinker St. Café in Woodstock NY, and was pleasantly surprised to see Tony Levin and Jerry Marota playing behind him at a blues jam. It was a memorable experience and JP was hooked on performing ever since. In 1997 JP decided to continue on his musical path by enrolling in the Music Therapy program at Colorado State University. JP studied classical guitar and in 2001 graduated with a Bachelors degree in Music. JP worked on his sound as a guitarist and a singer with various groups and musicians including The William Crist Band, The Second Hand Smokers, and Wooleye. After playing over a thousand gigs, mostly in Colorado and Wyoming and enjoying a life of making music as well as teaching music JP decided to make a change. Moving to California in 2021 JP has now embarked on a solo career. The journey continues and with new music recently recorded at The Village’s Recording Studio in Los Angeles, CA you will be able to hear JP on Spotify, YouTube and most other streaming services. The new EP entitled Time Traveler is JP’s newest project and he is excited to perform again soon and is looking forward to see what lies ahead on this magical, musical journey.
