Described by Highwire Daze Magazine as “Fire Personified,” Huck N’ Pray is a
psychedelic, surfy, rock band hailing from the lively music scene of Boulder, Colorado. Formed
in fall 2024 through deep dorm jams and pop-up performances on campus, a shared love for
genre-bending, high energy music united lead guitarist Cory Shishik with rhythm guitarist Fintan
Canning when they met on their first day of college. The two became inseparable and wanted to
form an experimental rock n’ roll group, but they were missing a rhythm section. The parking lot
of a concert is where the duo met drummer Axel Pearson, with bassist Will Berbaum filling out
the lineup a short while later.
Huck N’ Pray quickly picked up momentum in the Boulder music scene, playing the
iconic Fox Theatre as just their fourth gig as a band. They continued to grow a loyal fanbase in
the front range area, playing as much as they could in houses, bars, backyards, and venues alike.
After honing their talent at home for a year, Huck N’ Pray hit the road in June of 2025,
embarking on their first ever tour across the West Coast. Twenty-four shows, six states, and two
months later, the group had proved that they were more than just a college band–Huck N’ Pray
was here to stay. Following electric performances at historic venues like Hollywood Boulevard’s
Viper Room, the band returned to Colorado in the fall and continued to play as much as they
could in the front range area. In September 2025, Huck N’ Pray lit up the Utah desert at Moab’s
prestigious Electric Honey festival. They followed that with a performance at the Roots Music
Festival, and continued to melt faces in Boulder with their sixth show at the historic Fox
Theater–a sold-out headlining show in December.
After taking a brief hiatus in the spring, Huck N’ Pray is ready to hit the road again.
Armed with two new live albums of fiery, electric original material to share, the band is ready to
prove themselves yet again.
Get ready for contagious energy, unique jams, and a whole lotta rock n’ roll. Huck N’
Pray’s second tour is gonna be a wild one—don’t miss out on the ride!
