Hailing from the lively music scene in Boulder, Colorado, Huck n’ Pray formed in fall
2024 through deep dorm jams and pop-up performances on campus. A shared love for Phish,
Grateful Dead, and King Gizzard united lead guitarist Cory Shishik with rhythm guitarist Fintan Canning when they met on their first day at college. The two became inseparable and wanted to form an experimental rock n roll group, but they were missing a rhythm section. The parking lot of a Phish concert is where the duo met drummer Axel Pearson, then through a series of auditions bassist Will Berbaum joined the band.
Huck n’ Pray quickly picked up momentum in the Boulder music scene, and shortly after
they played a show at the iconic Fox Theatre. They continued to grow a loyal fanbase in the front range area, before being invited to play at the prestigious Electric Honey Experience. The 500+ person festival acted as a springboard for Huck n’ Pray as they continued to pack venues like The Roots Music Project, The Fox Theatre, and countless local shows. Huck n’ Pray is set to enter the studio in February 2025, where they plan to track their new originals for an upcoming album.
Huck n’ Pray has created a new and electrifying sound that they are eager to share with
listeners. Moving forward, the band plans to continue developing their genre blending sound by captivating audiences in their engaging live performances. In summer 2025, Huck n’ Pray plans to take their unique jams and contagious energy across the west coast as they embark on their first tour.
