The Contingencies are a classic rock band that was brought together by guitarist, Steven Babb, in the summer of 2015. Drummer, John Flood, who met Steve at an audition for a local project in late 2013, was first to join (and Steve’s preferred choice for percussionist ) followed by bassist, Michael Harper, acquired from east county band WCR. Rocket Surgery’s vocalist, Jim Loutzenhiser, was unanimously selected by Steve, John and Mike to handle ‘front man’ duties with his dynamic vocal range. All four members share a love for heavy blues, classic rock, and progressive rock with influences that include Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC /DC, and The Beatles.
